The epistolary/diary writing style took me awhile to get into, not being a big fan of the format. Twinkle eventually won me over though!
I can see Twinkle's story really resonating with teens - her struggles to navigate school and fit in where she wants, her desperation to hold fast to a fading childhood friendship, her determination to pursue her dreams. Twinkle really grows as a character and I enjoyed watching her evolve as the pages flew by!
Like Menon's debut, this book is fun and fast and full of romance, but also skillfully weaves in some deeper themes.

Throughout the whole book Twinkle was annoying and b*+chy and it was starting to give me a headache. I hate how things were wrapped up neatly and everyone was friends again and no. After that blow up some relationships shouldn't be so easily repaired with just an apology you know.
There were some good stuff in here, the diversity, Sahil being a the cinnamon roll that he is. The messages in the book were good. I just think me being annoyed by Twinkle throughout the book isn't allowing me to give this a high rating.

This book was so wonderful!!! I loved Twinkle even though she got on my nerves sometimes with wanting to be accepted by the popular crowd. It's understandable but it was still annoying. I'm glad that she finally realized that she can make her own way through her filmmaking. Twinkle and Sahil's relationship was so cute. They brought out the best in each other.
3.75
I had a really hard time with Twinkle the whole time, and it ruined a lot for me but it was cute and refreshing!

I loved this books for what it was: a cheesy romance novel. I love cheesy romance and this was just what I needed, especially on my trip.
From Twinkle, with Love is a perfect summerread. It is cute and fluffy, but not much more than that, even though I enjoyed reading it.
There are several things that bothered me while I read it, and I feel like the book could've been so much better if it was flushed out more.
First, the making of the film. Besides googling female directors, it looks like the author didn't look into the process of film making. Making a film in about 26 days, while also having to attend classes? That just is not possible. You have to think about an idea, write and the script, hold castings, film all the scenes, edit the scenes, watch the film and edit it again and it goes on and on like that. For the fact that Twinkle wants to be a filmmaker so badly, it is really dissapointing not more attention was paid to this process.
I liked that the book was in journal form, but why the texts between Sahil and his friends? Now, as a reader, you already find out about Sahil's crush on page 25. Twinkle also already seems to fall for him after they only spoke about two times. And then the whole thing that she solely wants to date Neil cause he is hot and cause he can make her popular? The whole thing just didn't work for me. So much more could've been done with the emails as well. A big deal is made of out it, while they only exchanged a few emails.

* I received this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review*
To be honest, I was not digging this book when I started it. Twinkle’s “whoa is me” attitude was very off putting at the beginning because you could just tell she was making something out of nothing. Halfway through the book it clicked in my head, that’s the point you dummy!
In the end, I loved this book! I was physically crying tears of joy for Twinkle by the end of this book. It was just that amazing. Twinkle’s story of overcoming her inner demon’s, reaching for the stars, and finding who she is meant to be is so inspiring. Not just for people of colour, or women, but for everyone. Her story proves that if you set your mind to something and don’t get in your own way, you can accomplish anything.
This book gets all the stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one is really like a 3.8. It has all the cuteness of Dimple, but Twinkle seem much younger. I appreciate that the author doesn’t write “insta-love,” but characters fall in love by actually spending time together 🙄
Ultimately, it was a cute story, but it just didn’t connect the way Dimple did.

4,5 stars! I really loved this book, Twinkle is such a nice, realistic and lovely character and I really liked reading about her passion and her struggles with being who she wants to be and how she grows as a character <3
