I read this for a book club. That being said, I really did NOT like the main character. She was whiny, came across as crazy, and had a case of "my poor life, I have everything but I am not happy boo hoo". Then change your life woman! Or, things like.. I am so scared alone maybe I should get a dog. But then doesn't get a dog. But then says maybe she should. But then she doesn't.

Anyways, there are my 2 cents (and 2 stars).

Overview: Holy crap! Why didn't I read this sooner? I honestly didn't expect this book to be a amazing as it was. I loved The Castaways and this has easily topped that one. It had suspense, different time lines, dramatic incidents...everything! I think I enjoyed it more because the main character was an author and I could relate to her (although she is famous and clearly I'm not). And the ending....what!? Why did I not see it coming? Why am I so bad at guessing endings. I actually stared open mouthed at the page....

Good Points: The twists, the tiny dribbles of information at the end of every chapter that had me itching to start the next one. It was all just amazing and at times I felt spine tingle! Loved the fact it went back and forth in time. I was wrecking my brain to think of the secret she was hiding...never saw it coming.

Not so Good Points: Not one damn thing!

If you love psychological thrillers or thrillers in general then read this!

Elle’s first novel was a bestseller but she is suffering a writer's block now. Her next book is approaching its deadline and she has nothing to show for it. Renovating her new house has put her in a lot of debt and to get out of it she decides to rent her house for two weeks on Airbnb while she travels to France. After returning though she feels as if something is amiss. Her things start disappearing, she feels as if someone is watching her house and maybe somebody went through her locked things and discovered her most dark and deadliest secret of all.

You Let Me In by Lucy Clarke is a dark, creepy, psychological thriller with some unlikeable characters that added to the story . A satisfying , twisty read and will definitely recommend to all psychological thriller lovers.

I would like to thank Harper Collins , HarperCollins UK, HarperFiction & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

I tried... a little too drawn out...this one just wasn't meant for me. The writing, however, was nice.

3.5 rounded down. Definitely a page-turner, and well-written, but I spotted the “who” in “whodunnit” at 30%. There’s also one tiny little event in the middle that comes into the story but is never adequately explained.
