I always enjoy this author, so this one gets four stars from me. It was fast paced, a bit wild and twisted and full of untrustworthy characters.
The twists were nothing mind blowing, but I did feel like they were well placed and added to the story. It was a very entertaining read. Think high stakes game of hide and go seek for money, except in this game everything that could go wrong, does. Each character has a back story and a past and a reason for wanting to participate in the game which, for me, added to the story. I would recommend giving this one a try!

Adele is a single mother who on a whim signs up for an extreme game of hide and seek run by an influencer named Maverick. She and four others will compete to hide on a deserted island. The one that hides the longest will win big. But before the games can begin, things start spiralling out of control and Adele will now have to fight for her life.
This was one of the worst thrillers that I have read in a long time. It has a wonderfully exciting premise and I was so looking forward to reading about the game and how people try to win. But it quickly unravels into a bunch of influencer drama that I could care less about. I hated so many of the characters who were on Maverick's team (including Maverick) and could not understand why they were still tagging along with him.
There was no suspense, no intrigue. I was so annoyed by this book. The writing was convoluted. There were too many random plotlines and too many POV characters.
