This book made me feel all the feels, it was a heartbreaking love story that follows two people from different places but they are destined to be together and the book made me so angry. You have to read if you want to cry.
Well now I'm extremely sad. I could have never predicted that ending. Imagining the happy ending that would have been if he had not gotten caught in the storm does not make me any happier. Sure, everything in the book would have been perfect. But sometimes perfection is too common of an ending.
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
I enjoyed this book much more than I did the notebook.
I'm watching the movie now. When she tracked where the bottle came from according to currents, she circled ocean city Maryland. So close to home :) I miss living on the eastern shore :(

The writing, the plot, the characters... everything about this book was 5/5.
The only bad thing i have to say about this novel was the ending (which i can't spoil). i feel like sparks could have really gone into what happened with Garrett.

Ugh! So sappy. My first Nicholas Sparks book and not likely to pick up another, too many other books in the world to read another like this.
For entertainment value, I would have given it a 3 or 4 star rating. However I was frustrated by the ending and dropped it down lower.
"This is not a goodbye, my darling, this is a thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy, thank you for loving me and receiving my love in return. Thank you for the memories I will cherish forever. But most of all, thank you for showing me that there will come a time when I can eventually let you go.
I love you, T."
The ending was unpredictable and it fucked me up. I really liked this book but i just hated how Theresa went on full stalking mode after she realized that Garrett might be the right one for her. I also absolutely hated how Garrett loved two women at once. First one is his dead ex wife and the second is Theresa. I hated how fast things happened. They spent time together for a few days and he was like "i think i love you". Overall this book was a fun read and i finished it in two sittings (could have been one but school got in the way)
