I've had this book on my shelf forever. This was the only Sparks book I hadn't read and idk why I put it off for so long. It was amazing!

Could you imagine finding a love letter in a bottle, washed up on the beach? It would be pretty hard to find nowadays what with all the trash all over most beaches.

Theresa is on vacation when she finds a message in a bottle washed up on the beach. She reads a love letter addressed to Catherine from Garrett. It speaks of love and grief and makes Theresa cry. She decides to publish it in her newspaper column.

2 more people have found letters written by the same man and they send them to Theresa. She decides she must meet this mystery man who writes from the heart. She does some research and finds out he's from Wilmington, North Carolina. She flies there and finds him.

She discovers that he is definitely the haunted man with a huge heart and a sad past. They have a wonderful week together and of course, fall in love. He can't stand the thought of her going back home to Boston and doing a long distance relationship is already putting strain on them.

Will they make it work? Is love enough to keep them going?

Het verhaal is prachtig! Alleen hoe het opgeschreven is.... een ramp. In een alinea lees je de gedachten van diverse personen. Erg verwarrend en vervelend.

Hmm. Spoiler alert...His writing style can be poetic, and the plot was okaaaay (creepy woman stalks good writer to death?). But this one felt like it was alternating between being a How-to book (making steak, scuba diving, raising a child etc) and being an overly melodramatic Mills and Boon bodice ripper. Maybe I'm not divorced enough to get it. *shrug*

This was recommended by my librarian in the surety that I would be weeping by the conclusion. With that to look forward to, I read it. And was terribly disappointed. I tried to like it but it was too ridiculous to really enjoy. Not to mention the adult content that I never find necessary. Oh,well. At least I know what NOT to read in the future.

This book like A Walk to Remember is a journey, a self realization journey of hope and finding love after a betrayal.I prefer HEA stories rather than the sad ending so this story did sour my mood for a couple of days

This book is amazing.
