‘Message in a Bottle’ is heartbreaking yet so beautiful! When I was reading the novel my heart got ripped to shreds and was stomped on savagely by all the feelings that I got from this novel.
The plot of the novel is marvellous. I love the story so much. The way everything ties together so beautifully is astonishing and mind-blowing.
The pace of the story is perfect. Although, I admit that it takes about 100 pages until we meet the main character’s ultimate love interest. However, that doesn’t bother me even one tiny bit. Because I loved the build-up. It is written so well that I just flew through the pages.
By the 100th page, I was grinning like a madman and biting my nails with anticipation of meeting Garrett Blake, the most romantic and loving fictional male character.
By the time Garrett finally made his appearance, I was jumping with delight. Both literally and figuratively.
I love the characters in the novel. They are amazing. And that’s a huge understatement. Take Garrett for example. He is a guy who loves someone forever. The main character, Theresa, she learns how to love someone forever, like he does. The characters feel really deeply and it is just exhilarating to be on this journey with them.
I recommend 'Message in a Bottle' written by Nicholas Sparks to everybody with a beating heart. This novel is one of my all time favourites. As heartbreaking as it might be it also very very beautiful!!!

Mas por agora posso dizer que não sei o porquê, mas choro com todos os livros do Nicholas Sparks, e na realidade não entendo porque é que nunca acabam bem os seus livros.... pelo menos os que li até agora.....
Dei 4 estrelas porque foi um livro que me custou bastante entrar na história e que levou muito tempo a ler. No inicio deixou-me confusa mas depois acabei por gostar. E o último capítulo matou-me, fartei-me de chorar e a verdade é que acabei mais rápido do que pensava ser possível.

I really loved this book. it was an incredible love story and is perfect for hopeless romantics and anyone with a big heart. it was really sad and made me cry a lot but it didn't disappoint. i decided to read this book after seeing the film and loving it and as always the book was miles better.
This book was a one star to me the minute I started it. I didn’t even plan to read it I acquired it by accident then thought ‘what the heck ‘
Plot was okay. Story was okay. Writing was for a movie not a book. This was a script for a good romantic tragedy rather than a deep romance novel.
However, 2 stars because Jeb Blake’s character kept me reading. He felt like the only real person in the book at times. That star is for you Jeb!
The ending felt like a very convenient way to end the book to be honest. Typical Nicholas Sparks. I don’t mind it. It’s his style, it just doesn’t always cut for me.
