3.5 stars!! I really enjoyed the writing style of this book and the story was super enjoyable but there was a non consensual/borderline rape scene which was excused by the female’s innocence. It dropped the story down a star for me.

Really cute. I loved that the couple didn’t have a break up but rather an obstacle to overcome together. And that obstacle literally made me gasp.
I also loved that these two fell in love and it wasn’t instant. Will be reading the rest of the series.

Une romance médiévale sympa mais pas inoubliable !!
En voyage en Écosse, j’avais pris cette romance et je l’ai lu avec plaisir =) L’histoire avec l’héritage de Mairin et tous les rebondissements de l’intrigue étaient sympas !
J’ai moins aimé ce tome que Never Seduce a Scot parce que j’ai trouvé Ewan un peu trop « alpha mâle qui ne prend en compte que son point de vue » (la première nuit de noce était tellement décevante … Et horrible pour Mairin) et Mairin un peu trop « demoiselle en détresse » >< (j’aurais voulu qu’elle tienne plus sur ses positions et qu’elle se rebelle un peu plus !)
Bref, une romance sympa parfaite pour se distraire pendant les vacances mais pas plus !

While traveling in Scotland, I picked up this romance and enjoyed reading it =) The story with Mairin's heritage and all the plot twists were nice !
I liked this book less than Never Seduce a Scot because I found Ewan a little too "alpha male who only considers his own point of view" (the first wedding night was so disappointing ... and horrible for Mairin) and Mairin a little too "damsel in distress" >< (I wish she had stood her ground and rebelled a little more !)
In short, a nice romance, perfect for entertaining yourself during the holidays, but nothing more !
