I want to like this so badly because of its historical value to both literature and theater but I just can't do it. I tried, I really did but I am so bored that I have to stop halfway through.

I only read this for college purposes and it is not something I would normally read and I didn’t understand it due to the classical language used. At some point I may read this again to see if my judgement has changed when I’m not reading it for college

This is a good play, but not great. I think the potential of Clytemnestra is a bit wasted, the other tragedians usually manage to provide more three-dimensional portraits of morally grey women. Although Cassandra on the other hand does rightfully shine, which is great to see. I mean, in general, both these female characters are more relevant than Agamemnon himself, and we love that for them. But yeah, not my favourite ever.
