What a quirky and beautiful story this is. It was good from the beginning, then dragged just a little in the middle, but once it picked up it was one of the most interesting, engaging, and heart-grabbing stories I’ve seen in a while.

The narrator for this is incredible! She does an excellent job of taking you inside the character so you under what she’s feeling. You understand the anxiety and overwhelm and confusion and cheer her on as she figures out how to build her life to work for her rather than trying just not to be “broken”. I’m not sure I would have fully felt it all if I had read this as text.

The time travel aspect is also really well done and I really enjoyed the Greek mythology references but the thing that made this book great was getting to see Cassandra’s evolution.

emotional funny inspiring medium-paced

Cassandra feels different to the people she is surrounded by. She doesn’t fit in at the PR agency she works at, and is obsessed with Greek mythology. One day, just after she had been dumped by her latest boyfriend, Will, she realises she can travel through time, so sets about trying to make things work with Will.

Enjoyable read. I loved seeing Cassandra’s eyes open to what really matters to her.

more interesting than typical rom com with autistic main character and time travel, but like ground hog day so it was a bit boring

love this type of story & the internal monologue of neurodivergent characters. seeing a lot of poor reviews because it was repetitive or the reader didn’t like the character (side eye) and ultimately DNFed. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t get to the beautiful end of the story or even meet the most important characters.

This was an interesting perspective of a person with autism - someone who didn’t know she had autism. There were parts that drug a little but I think were necessary for the story. The time travel part was weird but not a dealbreaker.

Thought the narrative voice in this was brilliant - I listened on audiobook which definitely brought that to life even more. I really liked Cassandra and her view of the world was insightful and well-written. I thought the time travel plot was intriguing and I thought it was clever the way the author showed how exhausting reliving the same experiences could be - this felt fresh. I wish Cassandra hadn’t spent as much of the book trying to change her experiences to ‘get the guy’ but the ending more than made up for that!

I love this book. I didn't have any expectations when I went in outside of it would probably be a romcom. It was so much more than that. This book is about Greek mythology, personal growth, grief, vulnerability, and autism. So glad I gave this a try and saw it through to the end.

3.5 stars rounded down because there were far too many Greek mythology references. I debated ordering a Greek myth anthology just to understand what was going on half the time.

It took a bit to set up the key parts of the story, but I really enjoyed it once we got there (about 70% of the way through…)
