Honestly, this was a one and done book. I won't ever read it again. It did have some slight Dexter Morgan vibes though (and ya girl loves her some Dexter Morgan) so I kept reading.
I felt as though she was captive for 4 days and then she was in love. I think that there could have been some filler in there to make it seem like a more substantial amount of time that she was missing, etc. With that being said, I did like Gav and his story. I liked how she realized what he was doing when he finally let her go and that she returned to keep his darkness at bay. I, again, think that some more could have been done at the end to let us know how it was actually handled.
With all of that being said, if you want a quick, spicy read, go for it!

Gav & Kat
This book is the first book in the Dark Romance series by Aubrey Dark. It was pretty interesting but also a little boring to me.
In the beginning, it made me cringe soooo much.
What I didn't like in the beginning:
1. The conversation between Jules and Kat was lame to me. Jules keeps calling Kat boring because she doesn't have sex so she makes her kiss the first random beautiful dude she sees next, which, of course, is Gav. How they met was fun and all but the conversation at the beginning, being boring just because you don't have sex was meh.
2. The fact that Kat follows Gav home. GAH! That really made me cringe and want to just put the kindle down and stop reading this book. I mean you don't have the guts to go in the library, where you work and feel safe, to give him "the so important note he dropped" but you do have the guts to follow an unknown person home and sneak on his property and spy when you hear something strange coming from his house. Really? REALLY?! It felt way too forced I didn't like it at all... sorry, not sorry.
3. 20% or something like that into the book she has a moment when she says that she thought he has feelings for her and felt a change. Where? I didn't see where and why but whatever.
What I liked:
1. The sex scenes were ok. Still, I didn't feel a chemistry between the two of them. Again felt a little forced but it was ok, hence the two stars I gave this book.
I am not sure if I will continue this series, maybe if I am really bored and got nothing else to read...I don't know yet.
