This has been a very beautiful book with many feelings and although it is a book of romance, which I liked, is more inclined to the family side is what I loved most about this story.
Echo and problems with his mother and father have broken my heart she is very strong and in the end I think it has grown so much during the book. Personally I think it Aires would be proud ♥
Noah did not really stop loving as he loves his brothers and all that gives meaning the family is wonderful as you change something in when he falls for Echo and struggle for balance in your life is great !. The adoptive family of his brothers must say they are lovely people I am so happy for that to continue with his life while his brothers are in good hands ♥.
Thousands of feelings ... adore this story ♥

This was an amazing, emotional, phenomenal, heartbreaking, loving read!! I absolutely loved this book. I mean, I suspected a lot from this book based on my friends' reviews but I was blown away. This book was definitely phenomenal and flawless.
- Echo
I love her name. I love how she stood up for herself in the end. She is another one of my favorite girl characters. I could not believe what she went through all her life. I could only imagine her scars and the pain she mush have went through.
- Noah
Man, where do I begin?? I fell in love with Noah. I mean he curses a little too much for my liking but he curses a little too much for my liking but he has a caring heart. I love the way he feels about his brothers. It was heartbreaking to see him suffer so much, as well with Echo.
Overall, I cannot believe how much this book touched my heart. I also can't believe how the book played out. I wish the next book was about Echo and Noah but I am still thrilled to see Beth's story. As I said before and I will say it again, this book was flawless.

I have never read a book by Katie Mcgarry before. She made a very good first impression. Pushing the Limits is not just your average light, fluffy romance. The main characters, Echo and Noah, are dealing with tragic events that have completely changed their lives. I hate reading depressing books and despite the subject matter; this wasn't one. Parts of the story were heartbreaking, but others were so full of hope. I cried my eyes out while reading this for both reasons. The fact that it provoked this type of reaction in me was surprising. I am not a person that usually cries when reading. The only negative thing I can really say about this book is that Noah said the words "baby", "siren", and "nymph" way too often for me. Lol I love Noah, but the excessive use of these words did cause me to roll my eyes or just slightly cringe more than a few times. I know there is at least 3 more books in this series and I will definitely be reading them as soon as possible.

I don't know if I'm just a sucker for these types of stories, but, wow, I absolutely loved this book. It was spectacular. I loved the characters, the story, everything.
Everyone raved about this book. I'm choosing not to rate it because i just didn't get into it. It was just OK for me. But i haven't hardly read anything all year. I can't seem to get out of this book slump or find the time to read like I used to!!!
I wasn't expecting a lot out of this, I picked it up because it was realistic fiction which is hard to come by in Young Adult these days. While I did like the story, I didn't find it extraordinary. I've read a lot of really great fantasy in YA lately, and I don't think this style of writing really brings it to the table. It might be because of the frequently alternating viewpoints.
I do think it was a good idea for a book, it's deep and emotional, but besides style I had a problem with the characters. I just didn't find them deep enough for my tastes, especially Noah. I get that he's supposed to be "bad boy" but I don't really feel the mix of both that and his true self. It's kind of like one or the other, and I thought his language was really tacky. I don't have any problems with swearing, but it seemed forced like his leather jacket and him saying the F bomb a lot were the reasons he was so bad. It just didn't flow right for me.
I think it was okay for realistic fiction, but in no ways does it compare to Sarah Dessen or the debut novelist Huntley Fitzpatrick. Honestly, I feel that fantasy writers do a better job of delving into human emotions and building relationships than this did.

Oh, you're gonna want this one, today! The romance is amazing, the suffering is heartbreaking and the characters are amazing. Let's take things slow. First the romance, a somewhat scandalous romance between bad-boy Noah and used to be popular Echo. How did that happen? Mutual need for information that turned into something more. But then there's Noah's understanding of Echo's situation. They are both broken, almost beyond repair. But somehow, they came into each other's lives. And like it or not, they have something between them.
The suffering, they have both experienced great loss. Echo has lost her family in a different way than Noah, but Noah, Oh God, Noah! He's trying to be so strong and keep things together and he has dreams for his life but he can't have them and be who he thinks he's supposed to be. When his full story finally comes out, get your tissues out. I have never wanted to reach through a book more and let a character cry on my shoulder than I did Noah. He cried and I was okay with that. I didn't think any less of him for it because anyone in his situation would do the same way before he did. I didn't have quite as much sympathy for Echo only because she was constantly whining about her stepmother. Granted that stepmother used to be her babysitter, but it got just a bit old. I did think she was in a tough spot though. And her losses were no less than Noah's just different.
So there is Noah and Echo telling the story, which I love! But the side characters are so great and you can see how they add to Noah's and Echo's lives either making it harder or easier. Lila was Echo's friend before and after that night. Lila is the kind of friend you want to have your back. She doesn't care about popularity or the risks of dating someone unpopular, she cares about Echo. She knows that Echo is not a self injurer like the rumors say, that she isn't a freak and she pulls her over to their old table where the cheerleaders sit, where Grace sits, the one who cares how it looks even if they used to be bffs. Then Noah has his own little crew, Isaiah and Beth, they are his little family in foster care. They all look out for each other. They contribute to Noah's bad reputation but they are all making the best of a bad situation.
Can I just say that I couldn't turn the pages fast enough on this one to see how it ended? I saw no way for a happy ending for anyone. Not with what Noah wanted and what Echo needed. Katie McGarry knows how to deliver a deeply emotional novel with characters that will leave you thinking about them long after you've closed the book. I've been thinking about this novel for a few weeks now. I wanted to write a worthy review. I think I felt every emotion I could reading this novel. I've never pulled for two characters more than these two. I was so divested in the outcome...that's all I can say.
There is a sneak preview of Katie McGarry's next novel in the back of this novel and I hope she can deliver the same caliber of novel as this one. I'm sure it will be in a top ten of mine this year. So did I make you want to read it? Do you want to know what they lost? What would make bad boy Noah Hutchins cry? Why would Miss Popularity's life change overnight? Don't skip this one. It lives up to the hype and then some!

I think my expectations were a little too high. I can see obviously why everyone was heads over heels for this book, and I most certainly liked it, but it in no way captivated me and threw me away- it just lacked that HOOK to latch me in. Maybe because I've read so many contemporaries that the lines start blurring.
But nevertheless a well written and a good emotionally gritty book. Enjoyable from start to finish and has a nice romance and good character development. I think I will be much more interested in Isaiah and Beth's story- both are intriguing side characters in the book.

OMG what an amazing book. The story is so easy to read, so intriguing it just sucked me in
I won't admit to the hour I stayed up last night, but I finished this book within hours of starting it because I couldn't put it down.
Noah and Echo. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
