eh

4.5 I enjoyed this so much, but sometimes Noah's POV took me out of it and I couldn't help but roll my eyes (siren, cinnamon buns, nyph, etc etc). Suuch a sweet book though, made me tear up so often

4.5

I absolutely loved this book! It is one of my favorites now which is very hard to do! McGarry is such an amazing writer because the story was so good and there wasn't much fighting or breakups between Noah and Echo. Their relationship was so beautiful from beginning to end and I can't wait to re-read this book to pay better attention to all of the good parts of the relationship instead of worrying about what would happen next. I thought the whole resolution of the book was perfect for the characters how everything almost works out in then end...but I am so excited that there is going to be more books in the series so we will get to see how their relationship goes between these two. Clearly they are in love and will be there for each other through everything but I love how Echo tries to be courageous even when Noah wasn't there with her walking into the cafeteria with no sleeves for the first time. He is so perfect how he makes her feel comfortable and she makes him be an even better person as well.

Spoiler alert!!!

My favorite scene is when Noah proposes to her and decides how they can spend their future together. It was so adorable from his perspective how he finally came up with a way how they could spend their future together. But I wish we also got to see it from Echo's perspective because the way he proposed to her was so unromantic and I totally understand how she got mad at him. But then later in the book she says she understood what he meant but it just didn't say it the best way.

Noah is just so perfect! How when Echo walked into the cafeteria without him he was upset he wasn't there with her and got his anger out by punching the locker. And when he talks about his brothers and will do anything to protect them. And when he finally says "I wish my parents were here" I just broke down crying at that point it was so beautiful!

"So far, dating him the second time around stunk"

"Blah, blah, blah...our first night to the movies together...blah, blah, blah...he would pay for everything...blah, blah, blah...he took me to see the worst movie ever..."

"'You deserve better'" ... "Like a guy who would share his dinner with me and give me all of the fries? A guy who broke rules so I could listen to my father talk to my therapist? A guy who gave me his jacket when I was cold? A guy who set me on fire with a simple touch? But Noah couldn't possibly want a girl like me."

The more I read this, the more Luke reminds me of this guy I went on a date with. Worst date ever.

Lmao at this one: “ If she had a tail, she would have wagged it.”

“I barely heard her muffled comment of “Yay,” but the sarcastic jazz hands were hard to miss.”

O carte foarte emoționantă, si o relație specială între Echo si Noah. Cartea este foarte bună, o recomand tuturor!

4.5/5 stars

Oh my god. What an addictive book. This is only my second Katie McGarry book but I loved it just as much as the first one I read, Thunder Road.
I fell in love with Noah pretty quickly in this book while Echo took a while to warm up to. She seemed so weak and her "friends" drove me insane wanting her to get "normal" back, like after everything that happened to her that could ever happen.delving more and more into both her and Noah's separate issues was an experience. I loved their story and finding out what had happened on each of their lives.
What an emotional book. Tears welling in my eyes all the time at the end. Holy wow. And Noah. Christ. That man.
Highly recommend this for McGarry fans, and for those who are unsure about reading her books. You won't regret and I can't wait to read more.

Loved it!

"growing up means making tough choices, and doing the right thing doesn't necessarily mean doing the thing that feels good.”

Wow.
I simply loved this book!

Hot boy Noah Hutchins

Noah has had a very tough life. Sometimes loneliness messes even the best of all minds. Noah had lost his parents to death and his brothers to foster care. He wants them back, he yearns for both of them, his brothers and his parents. He cannot get his parents back but he can get his brothers back so tries his best to get them back.

And then he meets Echo... Echo Emerson

Echo who was once the school's most popular girl now sadly the school's freak. She has gone through a lot and I'm amazed at how strong she is. And how I could actually relate to her. She's not a freak, the events that changed her are terrible and when I came to know about it, I could only gasp in total shock because there is no way one could understand what she's been through.

What would you do when there's no one to truly understand how you feel?

Normal. She wanted normal and so did I.

I really liked Noah and Echo. They wanted normal, like everyone else. I understood that normal isn't something that's freely given. Some people have never known normal. And some had normal as their best friends once but now are complete strangers to it. Some like Echo and Noah who once had everything.

McGarry has done a lovely job in narration. I enjoyed Echo's view as much as I enjoyed Noah's. At first, I found it very difficult to understand them but as I kept reading I realized that I liked them despite their many flaws and sometimes annoying behaviors. After all, these are the things that make us human.

“Sometimes when you see the line, you think it's a good idea to cross it--until you do.”
I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did.
