Claudia, you are a dork in the BEST of senses. I liked this lead character in every way because I could relate to her stumbly nature. Above all that, she also is an avid MMORPG player (uh, big win in my book!).

It's a nice tale, but there really isn't anything too special here that stands out. It's girl drama, high school drama, boy. Don't get me wrong, it's written well and the characters worth rooting for. However, what makes this different than the last version of this I read? Not sure.

I would have never bought this book but I got a in a bookbox. Now that I am out of high school, I usually avoid books taking place in schools but I really liked this one.
First of all, Claudia "Claude" is a awesome main character, I love her sarcastic and fisty way of thinking. She thinks of herself not as an outsider but not as popular either. She has no real friends in school but gets along with the majority. She feels safe in her usual environment which involves her brother Alex, her best friend Zoe, her parents, her sister Julia and her husband Mark.
One day she meets Gideon Prewitt, a popular boy everyone likes. It seems that he is very fond of her. People think he is weird but like him nevertheless. Claude likes Gideon too but cannot believe he likes her too. When both start working at their schools' play A midsummer nights dream they get to hang out a lot. There Claude has to deal with Iris, a mean girl almost no one likes, and who is mad at her because Claudia had overheard how Iris's girlfriend Paige broke up with her.
When they have to work together for a school project Iris introduces Claude to TION, a boyband she really likes, what brings them closer.
The end seems a little bit rushed but I really like Claudias way of thinking and although she has a low opinion of herself I really like that she stands up for Iris despite what others could think. She still suffers from her last breakup what complicates her relationship to Gideon but apart from that I really like her and we are very similar.

Following Claudia and a group of HS friends, her brother and family. Claudia overhears a huge secret while "peeing loudly" (

oh my god this book was the absolute cutest. I love it so much. Gideon is cutest lil bean there has ever been and I would die for him. I would also die for Iris as well. She's my favourite in the book. I just love her so much. I love how she's so stoic and hard but is so sweet and soft and cute at the same time. I love how she loves TION and I love how she got Claudia into it and then I love how Claudia gets Zoe into it at the end. Everything about this book is so flipping cute.

i think i like emma mills books so much because it feels like the kind of high school experience i could have had but didn't.
this book is the cream of the crop when it comes to emma mills. claudia is such a delight and her relationship with her friends and family are so strong and well developed and unique. iris is maybe the most ME! (taylor swift 2019) character of all time. the focus that this book puts on boybands is everything that i have ever asked for in teen fiction. zoe is an angel alex is the most relatable annoying brother, paige is my queen, claudia's parents are legendary, noah is the greatest person i've ever met and julia's whole story arc is so sweet.
the video game thing is cool and made me hate video games less.
gideon is a majestic space prince and they really don't make them like that in the real world love u gideon.

This was lovely, but I don't really understand what it was trying to say... but not necessarily in a bad way. Basically I just felt like "a year in the life" of a couple high school students doing a play. I liked the characters for the most part, and it was overall enjoyable, even tho it didn't really seem like it was trying to say anything profound.

Basically this was good in a non-impactful way.

I'm way overthinking this, anyways it was good!

THIS BOOK MAD ME SO RIDICULOUSLY HAPPPPPPYYYYY! Definitely a new favorite!

Absolutely adorable. Cannot keep the smile off my face. The perfect feel-good read I needed.
