A wholesome, heart warming read! One of the cutest romances ever.
Picked it up on a whim and didn't put it down until it was finished. A great start to getting out of this 2 year long book slump :')

It was a very cute contemporary, but nothing about it was memorable, the writing was medium and so was the world building. Loved some of the characters tho! And this book was a good palate cleanser after reading a sad book.
Sidenote: Emma Mills covers are all so great

Super cute book! It was a quick, easy read and entertained me all the way through. All of the characters were relatable and sweet too. 10/10 would recommend.
I should not have enjoyed this book. YA contemporary is not my thing. Unlike our heroine, I'm not into music, and I'm not even remotely a fan of video games. Still, something about this resonated.
When Claudia is discovered accidentally eavesdropping on the breakup of her school's It Couple, she's sure her senior year is ruined. She's unwittingly made an enemy of stoney, wounded Iris, and Claudia fears she'll pay the price. Luckily, fate has some other surprises in store. Claudia finds herself pushed further and further from her comfort zone, and she learns a lot about her classmates (and herself) along the way.
Foolish Hearts is filled with all the best parts of high school - the parties, the secrets and gossip, the uncertainty and timid attempts at romance. Reading this was like stepping into a time machine. Emotions (all of them) during the high school years, on the cusp of growing up, are so much more potent, and reading this brought that intensity rushing back.
The characters are complex and funny and flawed. The dialogue is almost too believable. Claudia is an amazing heroine - strong and sassy, but walking an all too familiar tightrope between knowing her worth and self-doubt. There are some powerful themes in this book, but they're nestled so subtly between pages of light hearted banter that they sneak up on you.
It was a relief to see a spotlight on real, supportive friendships, and amazing to see a book that really understands how deep those bonds can run.
I regret waiting so long to pick this up. If you're on the fence, just climb on in already.

Well, that was just freaking adorable.
Although this is a very light, very fluffy, very cheesy contemporary, I loved the way it handed relationships - romantic, platonic and familial.

Starting the new year off with a new favorite!
I just love her writing and how I fall in love with all the characters.
Also, Emma Mills books are the only ones where I laugh out loud at one page and cry my heart out two pages later.

I loved the focus on friendship as well as romance. I found Claudia endearing, and wanted to find out more about her story.
