I absolutely loved this book. Probably one of the top books I read this year. It was so cute and so funny. It started off a little slow but every page of this book was important and amazing and I’m so sad when i turned the last page.

I loved this book! Funny, heartfelt, and honest. Great characters, great humor (actual laugh out loud funny!), great story, just great all around.

4.5/5. I fell in love with this book so hard it's insane. I read it in a day and I loved everything about it. The characters are great and diverse, and the relationship are amazing, especially the friendships. I will definitely pick up some other books from Emma Mills!

This book was a delight. My first impression of this book was that it seemed a bit too cutesy, and YOU KNOW WHAT it was cutesy, but it was the kind of cutesy that gels with me. It took me a few chapters to get into, but the humor quickly won me over, and by extension the characters. The romance was cute – the conflict between the most popular couple in school, Iris and Paige, was well done, and even though their romance was a relatively minor one, I was INVESTED. And the romance and relationship between the main character, Claudia, and Gideon Prewitt, the most popular boy in school, was very sweet and just…fun. And more than that, the friendships. I hadn’t expected to find myself so invested in the friendships and relationships between the characters, and the way each one of them developed was so sweetly done.

I was confused as to why Gideon Prewitt shared a name with a Harry Potter character, even if a rather obscure one, but I came to realize that Foolish Hearts was an unexpected ode to fandom- namely video games, theater, and boybands. As someone who has always been extremely prone to boyband obsessions, this book was HIGHLY relatable, to the point that I was actually laughing out loud because of the amount of detail Emma Mills included, particularly in reference to One Direction (the band in this book is fictional- but everything about them is NOT). So on a personal level, that aspect of the book was delightful to read. I loved the fandom element of this book, and I thought it added so much passion to the characters and the story.

This was a sweet, fast-paced read that I finished in two days, and I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something cute and quick!

I read this book in one sitting, it was a good YA/teen book. I don’t know if there is anything to complain about, it captivated me and I stayed up until 2 am to finish it so that should give you an idea.

This was so much better than I expected! The main character was super sassy, and the love interest was really really cute, but there was zero instalove or too much of a focus on the romance. Rather, the story was centered around friendship and family and learning you're worthy of love.

I loved Iris and our MC. The play was so intricately woven into the story itself that it was easy to see why this was the play picked.
Still digesting. More details later.

I really liked this book! It was super good. So, glad I got it in my owlcrate!
That ending was great!(:

Ok, guys so I just don’t know were to start because this book was just so damn cute. That being said I am conflicted on how to rate it I wouldn’t say it was amazing you guys have to go out and buy it now, it wasn’t unputdownable it was simply a cute light and fluffy read that took me all the way back to my high school days. (Way way back lol)

So I am going to give it a solid 3 ½ star rating, Although the book was a quick, and light read there were times that the characters just got on my nerves. This is probably good writing because they are all high school kids and what was annoying was that they were acting like high school kids hahaha.

The story is about a girl named Claudia who is in her last year of high school, she somehow made it this far with only one real friend who doesn’t go to the same school, she fails a paper and has to join a play. Overall the storyline doesn’t have a lot of substance it’s a simple girl meets boy sort of story but the focus is more on Claudia and how she grows and makes friends.

“So I do what I do best, or what I do worst, I suppose—my greatest strength is also my greatest weakness. I break it.
“I had the faucet on,” I say. “Really loud. And I pee pretty loud. I’m surprised you guys didn’t hear me, it was like Niagara Falls in here. Just really … very loud in volume. A lot of … liquids … flowing in a … noisy fashion.” (Claudia talking to Iris after accidentally overhearing her breakup #akward)

So let's talk Claudia, I found her a little hard to like. Most of the time she was a super friendly person. Sometimes over the top nice, I felt it hard to connect with her as I don't think I know any girls who would try so hard to be nice to someone who is being a bitch to you. Then she would go ahead and be mean to a guy who has been nothing but sweet to her.

“Are you ready to put the ‘fun’ in Fall Fun Fest?” he says as I slap his palm.
“I can at least put the ‘trip’ in ‘Triple F.’” A pause. “By being clumsy, I mean. Not by, like, sharing drugs with the group.” Three sets of eyes are on me, and I can’t stop myself from talking. “I don’t have any drugs. In case you were worried. Or, in case you were … expecting me to have drugs.…”
Gideon grins.”

However, her awkward stumblings were cute and made for a giggle now and then.

Gideon, Gideon, Gideon what is there to say about Gideon this guy was pretty cute with all of his awkward attempts to get Claudia to notice him, It was clear from the beginning that he liked her, but she was oblivious to it. (or couldn't believe that a guy like him could like a girl like her. (You know how it goes.). I have to give to the guy he doesn't give up easily and even after being shut down a little harshly he kept up his fun loving, easy going persona.
