Wonderful book, writing mixed with oral tradition just as the old seeps into the new. But not my book right now, I will return to it later

The star rating is purely because the book isn't to my tastes, but I do think the book is impactful and valuable for people to read. I found it confusing as nearly every chapter the POV changes and there are multiple many characters to keep track of. Their storylines start apart but as you read, they do come together and entwine. There are funny moments, sad moments, and moments that really make you think. It's an insightful piece of Indigenous Storytelling that has many layers that may take rereading to discover. I only rated this low because if I hadn't needed to read it for a course, I probably wouldn't have finished it.

I had to get this book through an InterLibrary Loan, but I am putting it on my wish list because I want to read it again.  I loved the interplay between the four Indians, the myth telling and the other characters in the book.  Initially, I wasn't sure I was going to like it, because the dialogue seems disjointed at times, but the style really grew on me.
