Definitely my favorite book from her that I have read so far; the slow start was very short and I appreciate that. The ending had me teared but broooo.

There were some things I enjoyed very much about this book, such as the relationship between the sisters, but, while I know it's middle grade, Addie struck me as seeming to be younger than she was supposed to be. Still, it's a nice tale, even if I didn't fall in love with it quite as much as Ella Enchanted. More complete review to come.

Rating this from from the point of a 10-12yr old… it was pretty good and I would totally read this to my kids someday! I’m sad that this didn’t get a movie adaptation like Ella enchanted did, that would have been amazing!

One of the best books I read as a child and now I just finished re reading it. Absolutely loved it and will definitely re read it again later.
But was Addie 12 like it said in the description? I remember correctly reading a paragraph where it said she was 16 or so when Meryl caught the grey death.
