Love love love

I love Alexi and have been keeping up with her running career for some time, and she is an inspiration to me. Unfortunately, this book took me so long to read because it just wasn’t holding my interest. I still acknowledge that her personal story is relatable at its core and I appreciate her sharing it, but I couldn’t get behind the lack of flow and cohesiveness of the book.

Pappas is a beautiful storyteller, and her resiliency is inspiring. Loved when she called out the distinction between being interested versus being committed to a goal

Brave and honest and interesting, but pretty repetitive. I wish more editors challenged their memoir writers to cut out chapters! Nevertheless I liked how Alexei is bringing mental health into the athletic world and her childhood living with a mentally ill mother was compelling.
