THIS IS SO GOOD

i know every book has a message but the author made it very clear w this one like poverty, neglect, child abuse, power abuse, mistreatment due to appearance and hierarchy, society expectations for women, war and I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH

okay can we also talk about elias and dora they are both so adorable!!!! like okay ms girl lets beat that foul mouth w your foul mouth (except she just takes everything at face value, cus u know, the curse) but i love her clapback towards elias she never missed. i love their banter and flirting

and THE ENDING GRAHHH i just love how the aithor finished it off having them move out and disappeared off the face of the world  is just so them… idk but i adore it so much

It was such a cozy read, exactly what I wanted.

Mysteries, plague, fairy curses.

I smiled so much while reading these short, sweet moments

This was a solid 3.5 stars and I really enjoyed it. Dora’s curse was interesting and I actually liked that Elias loved her as she was and not with the caveat of her soul becoming whole. I absolutely adored Elias, his snark reminded me a lot of BBC Sherlock in some moments, and I thought his banter with Dora was wonderful. The scenes in Faerie, with Hollowvale, were a little ridiculous but overall I liked how it all resolved. I definitely plan on reading the other books in this series.

I enjoyed this story. The protagonist had an unusual disability that was interesting. I love a good Romantasy book and this did not disappoint.
