i decided to reread this book for the first time since middle school and i’m so glad that i did. this was incredible and i absolutely adored the character of jane and resonated with her a lot. i can’t get over charlotte’s prose. my favorite quote that i believe perfectly sums up the novel is, “there is no happiness like that of being loved by your fellow-creatures, and feeling that your presence is an addition to their comfort”

Quality wise it was at least 4 stars, but as far as how I much I actually liked reading it, it was 3.5. Jane was awesome and I liked the overall plot, but it felt so slow. I feel like this was the longest book I’ve ever read.

This was such a lovely book.

I can see why a lot of people love this classic and reread it! I certainly would reread it whenever I’m in the mood! It was absolutely brilliant.

I loved Jane Eyre. Seeing her as a child and getting her backstory showed you how good of a person Jane Eyre was even by how she was raised.

I loved Edward Rochester, yes he was a bit funny in the beginning, but I actually loved his character. His relationship with Jane was very entertaining.

Anyways I loved this book!
