MaoMao was trained by her father to work as an apothecary mixing medicines but then was kidnapped and sold to the palace to work. I first watched this as a anime and then wanted to see what if any differences there were between the light novels, the manga and the anime. Basically, I just enjoy MaoMao's world enough that I want to keep reading or watching.
