I can't give this more than three, not that the story was heinous in anyway or had massive flaws at all...its more the author's insistence on bullying fat people? there are at least 4 mentions of Brother-in-Law's cookie consumption (SHE OWNS THE COOKIE SHOP) and the "roll on his stomach" Then we meet Betty from the Dairy and it was a scathing description of a fat teenager who was bullied in high school for being fat, now being a fat adult who our main character couldn't compliment honestly....not to mention the passive "frank, who was mildly retarded but did fine living on his own"... This also just might not be my genre, generally I'd want a murder mystery to be a little more suspense/ thriller than this which really comes off as "cozy" for the most part.
The 25th edition of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder also has a short novella in the back of it but I think I'll pass on that one. Aesthetically, that 25th edition IS spectacular...with the chocolate chip cookie edges and all...masterful design, I just wish the story was more my taste.

A little bit campy, but I loved this book. Her many characters, were distinct and memorable. Though it follows the typical murder mystery formula, Fluke avoided clichés and and kept me guessing to the end. The recipes "rewards," as I called them, were fantastic, and the pointers she includes were great as well.
