En muista, olenko joskus lukenut tämän, ainakin olen ehkä aloittanut, sillä alku tuntui tutulta. Toisaalta olen nähnyt sen susihuonon elokuvan ja ehkä siitä on jäänyt jotain muistijälkiä.
Tykkäsin tästä ihan hirmuisesti! Pieni tyttö kirjan sankarina, ja millainen hän onkaan! Rohkea, itsenäinen ja kekseliäs! Daimonit on hieno keksintö, olisipa minullakin sellainen, niin ehkä oman sisimmän kanssa oleminen olisi helpompaa. :D
Tykkäsin hulluna siitä, että tapahtumat sijoittuivat pohjoiseen, se luo oman mystisen tunnelmansa. Googlailin samalla Novaja Zemljaa ja Huippuvuoria. Siellähän ne jääkarhut rymistelee. Toivottavasti HBO:n sarja on yhtä hyvä kuin tämä.

I love that, in this story, no part of life is considered too hard for a child to consider or engage with, but WOW there is trauma that unfolds. I’m thankful for a clever, gritty girl being the center/heroine of an adventure story so far-reaching as this, but it added a layer of horror that the focus of this torture tale was children and their beloveds. Difficult to read, harder yet to put down.
