The Rise of Kyoshi was a tough act to follow, as one of my all time favourite books, but this book didn't let me down! Fantastic and gripping, a story full of tension and anguish, with an unrelenting pace that will leave you breathless!

Wish this wasn’t the end of this series. Kyoshi offers a unique and interesting perspective on this universe. Just as good as the first :) maybe even better

Even better than the first one! This time around they really focused in on the more dark and mysterious aspects that made the first stand out to me, and it was definitely a good idea. Yun coming back and figuring out how he managed that was one of the biggest aspects of this book that I loved. The deepening of mythology and worldbuilding really helped this book stand out

It was more boring than interesting, but it still had some bread to it.
For example, there is a quote from the book that will continue to stay with me, mainly because I read it in the perfect moment.
“You either accept the risk of winning, or the guarantee of losing.”
