Highly intellectual book that requires the reader to be familiar with many of the themes discussed in order to fully understand the argument. I felt the author could've structured the book better by spending more time on one or two theme instead of jumping from theme and theory as often as he did. It felt like a fast-tracked critique on the literature out there on love and I would've rather seen more effort vested into his own argument versus analyzing everyone elses.
