Listed to on CD - I rarely read the Stephanie Plum series as I heart these audiobooks
I waver back and forth a bit with these books. I always eat them up like popcorn but sometimes the on-again, off-again, will-they, won't-they relationships Stephanie has with Morelli and Ranger irritate me. At other times, I just take it for a bit of entertaining fantasy and roll with it. I was able to appreciate the idea of Stephanie having two smokin' hot men at her beck and call this time and just enjoyed the mental imagery and humorous flirtation.
Stephanie's implausible talent for finding and getting into trouble always amuses me and this book was no different. Lula and Grandma Mazur were in fine form. Stephanie's minor FTAs (failures to appear) always provide comic relief and this batch was incredibly over the top.
Pick this series up for a funny, light mystery to read by the pool or between heavier reads.

Early 2000s chick crime lit which made me laugh out loud. Doesn’t have to be the most well written book for me to have a great time.
The Stephanie Plum books always make me laugh. I don't care that they are over the top or unrealistic, sometimes that's all I need.

These books are good, I won't deny that, but they're beginning to all run together. Same ol' same ol' with the only difference being whoever is involved in the mystery. Methinks it's time for something else to read.
