I really like the idea of one woman picking up another's "to do by 25" list and completing it as a memorial. Parts of the book made me actually laugh out loud, they were so amusingly expressed.
However, the language reminded me of a qutoe from Jean Kerr. She wrote it in relation to plays, but it holds true for me in literature as well: "I do not like to hear the most explicit four-letter words spoken from the stage because I number among my acquaintance persons of such candor and quick temper that, for me, the thrill is gone."
I do not find profanity amusing, piquant or adult. I find it ugly and unimaginative. Peppered as this book was with it, it couldn't help but affect my ultimate review of it.

It was a good read but I wasn't thrilled with the ending.
Book club book. It was cute and very good for what it was - a light read. I finished it in a day because it was easy to read.
I love the idea of working on things that are outside of your routine. It's what adds enrichment to our lives.

I really liked the idea of a list with difficult but interesting tasks for life. Unfortunately, the story around the list wasn't created well... I don't know why but somehow it seemed so stagy and obvious.
The end sucked the most. The only good thing about it is that one can read it quite fast, it is not difficult and even I made it in a day.
Idea: Top. Story: Flop.

Even for chick lit, this was kind of a stretch. Cheesy premise, super predictable, boring characters. It wasn't terrible, but I finished listening because it was the only thing I had downloaded on Overdrive at the time.
This was a cute little story. It would most definitely be classified as chick lit, but this is definitely on of the better offerings. June was a lovable mess. I liked how she didn't need a man to do the things she needed to do, but she did need her friends. Sure there was love and romance in this book, but it wasn't the focus of the story by any means.

I would actually give this 3.5 stars.

Great idea and synopsis- though not my usual kind of book. Enjoyed some of it, but didn't feel like the main character was very 'real'.
Great idea, but just fell short of the substance in some ways. Also, didn't like the cursing and it was too crude in parts that detracted me from fully enjoying the book.
Good read. Didnt require any thinking, but was quite entertaining.
