This book does not even qualify for one star. The idea is a great one but after reading the first 5 chapters and having to try and edit the swearing out I have up.

Really 3.5. Quick light read. Easy weekend enjoyment. makes you think what would be on your list.....

This book was amazing. June gets in a car accident that kills her passenger, who had a list of 20 things to be before she turns 25. By the time June gets herself together she only has six months. This is the story of how she gets the items accomplished.
What I liked about this story is that it was heartwarming, not your typical chick-lit where she's just out for herself. June is actually a good person. That seems to often be lacking in many chick-lit books these days.
I loved this story and would recommend it to all my girlfriends.

I loved this book. It is a really light read, great for lounging poolside. Makes me want to make my own list of "things to do". The book starts as pretty depressing, but the book ends up being a feel- good story. I highly recommend.

The book had a great premise, finish the to-do list of a girl who died after an accident while riding in her car. June feels guilty and while talking to the girls brother she blurts out that she is finishing this list she found. She reaches out for help from her friends and also the girls family.

Some items are easy to complete, like going braless and going on a blind date. Even if the date ending up being gay. This book was entertaining if not a little light on substance.

From the book jacket: After a car accident in which her passenger, Marissa, dies, June Parker finds herself in possession of a list Marissa has written: “20 Things to Do By My 25th Birthday.” The tasks range from inspiring (run a 5K) to daring (go braless) to near-impossible (change someone’s life). To assuage her guilt, June races to achieve each goal herself before the deadline, learning more about her own life than she ever bargained for.

My reactions:
It was about what I expected. I was not a big fan of the main character, June, who really seemed to have her priorities backwards. As she worked to complete Marissa’s list it really became all about HER, not about honoring Marissa. I also wasn’t much of a fan of most of June’s friends. And I really didn’t like how the relationship with a young girl she is supposedly mentoring played out.

Still, the plot moved forward and there were some situations that really captured my attention and kept me reading, as well as scenes that were quite entertaining. All told, it was fine, just not stellar.

Not a bad book, but not amazing. I may discuss the idea of a list with friends, but that is all that I would talk to others about this book. I didn't expect it to end the way it did. Not bad, but i guess happy, but not happy in the way I thought it should have a happy ending. I just wasn't crazy about the ending and found the book mediocre. Jill did keep the story funny and emotional all at the same time, which I found impressive. However I am jumping for joy spewing things about this book to my friends.

Great book but the ending left much to be desired; I wouldn’t consider this a romance which is what I thought I was when I started it!
