Dante and Valentina´s second book as far as I can tell from Dante´s POV.

This book is all about him and his thoughts. I must admit that I liked and disliked Dante in the first book… now I get to understand why I disliked him… I have more sympathy for him now… maybe I even adore him a little bit. He is a brooding character who don´t let people inside in his feelings or his mind… that what gets the signals mixed up… because you can´t read him. But this book explains why he acted like he did.

What I didn’t like was that the repetition of the plot was a bit annoying… I mean we read almost everything in the original book, and this was just some sort of summary.

What made the book worth reading was the last third of the book! It was hella good! The plot spiked to its peek and gave somewhat an open end… I have so much questions now… As for Serefina an Remo… I will get to know what happened to them because there is a book in The Camorra Chronicles which is dedicated to them… (which I will read immediately after this one) But there are so many other questions like what happened to the twin brother Samuel… did he marry the disabled sister of his brother in law to be? Or what happened to the former fiancé of Serefina? Did he marry the sister Sofia? What happened between Anna and her bodyguard… there where hints that there could be something blossoming??? Did Dante´s son become Capo or did he get to be a politician? There are so many questions….

Worst book in the series by far. Dante’s POV was not enough to make reading Twisted Pride for the third interesting. Dante is largely uninteresting his only “catch” was this cold hearted exterior and now that that is gone there isn’t anything underneath. He is simply boring, reading his POV felt like I was being tortured. There were way too many typos and inconsistencies as well as throughout the book I did not feel that Dante was really in love with Valentina like I was assured the other men loved their wives. Dante was barely a capo and bascially never made a decision, he simply didn’t do anything. He let people be taken from his territory and simply just never retaliated idk why his men even follow him he basically never fights. The book was simply awful and if I had not felt like it was my duty to finish the books I would’ve stopped on page 1. The only reason this gets two stars is bc of the glimpse of Remo and Serafina because otherwise.

3.5 stars.

"Surrounded by endless love. It couldn't get any better than that."

I'm sad that I can't say that I loved every line of this book, because I really wished I did. But I love the way Cora built Dante and Valentina's relationship, that I can say undoubtedly. And it also felt nice to get a closer look on Dante's mind.
Reading BBTP felt kind of tiring and repetitive - maybe because I just finished reading The Camorra Chronicles - but still, it's good to see how things went on the other side.
The aftermath was definitely my favorite part, watching their relationship and their family gave me a sense of closure, in a really good way. I wish we'd gotten more of it and I look foward to Anna and Leonas' books, because I believe we'll have some nice Cavallaro family scenes.
Still, I can't say that I didn't end up loving the book and - some - of it's characters, especially Valentina - to me, she's one of the best of Cora's characters.

could’ve been better but yeah disappointed especially since I stayed up till 5 am to finish it

3.5

Okay, I wasn't sure what to expect from this, but getting to see what was going on in the outfit during all of the other books? Yessss.

Also, Dante and Val are kinda goals.
