I have mixed-feelings about this one. It's still getting 4 stars for the writing, but the plot as the story progressed got a bit tired and just okay half the time.

Although I've yet to see this movie, it has a slightly similar premise to Promising Young Woman but a better ending (thank you, Wikipedia) than the movie. So if you liked that movie, I definitely say check this book out.

This follow bit is only a small gripe I have, nothing that would take away the reading experience for anyone but made me groan a couple times.
Spoiler There was one good male character throughout this whole thing (Drew), which wasn't I necessarily expecting but with how the story goes is understandable and I should've seen it coming. Given the nature of everything by the time we get to 65% percent (give or take, scribd doesn't give percentages).

Whip smart and really engrossing! Definitely couldn’t put it down until it was over. I think it’s something all survivors will find cathartic to read.

I really enjoyed this book!! Always love a good women revenge book!
The one thing my heart wanted with this book was I was desperately hoping for some last interaction with Scarlet and Allison. I don’t know why, maybe to  see if Allison ever appreciated her more as she grew older? Or some dialogue with her pov? I would’ve loved to see their interaction bumping into each other as full adults!

Love a good woman power revenge book! I listened to it on the Libby app and I ATE. IT. UP.

Didn’t leave me with a book hangover, which is why it didn’t get the 5 stars but my goodness, I highly recommend!!!!
