Tbh I contemplated on the rating because as much as I loved this book, I still think it's a little too long.

But I think it deserved the 5 stars because it was not just a dark and spicy romance. It also came with a plot. A long ass plot that I wouldn't quite entertain if this was about Michael. I really didn't like Michael that much. But I do sympathise with him because his life was a living hell and he's the most reasonable thinking among the 4 of them.

- First of all, Damon Torrance (and he's not even the main character of this book), but also what made you think 5 kids are good ideas?

- 2nd of all, Will Grayson III

Ooooof I loved this! We have all 4 of them together and then we had Mads showing just how exactly mad he was. And I love how Daddy Damon decided to deal with it.

I wonder if there'll be a spinoff series based on the kids, but do I really wanna know what will happen between Madden and Octavia? They're cousins so I am very worried of how that'll turn out.

And with that, the Devil's Night Series comes to an end.
I loved this book so much that I just whipped out my LAPTOP to write a review for this, that's how much I think deserves it. This one was by far my favorite of the four books, and it's because of my boy William Grayson III. If I said everything I wanted to say about this man, I would set feminism back multiple decades.

I adored every single page of this book. And, to my very shocked surprise, there was PLOT? Plus, it was nice that, for ONCE, the men in this series actually LIKE their women. The love that Will Grayson iii had for Emory Scott makes me want to roll over into my pillow and scream, cry, and kick because I'm so obsessed with it. "I'd loved Emory since the moment I laid eye on her when I was fourteen." like HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO. Could not be Micheal or Kai or Damon. My favorite part of this book was by far the flashbacks. I wish a truck would come by and run my down and knock my head so that I could experience them again for the first time.

Also, I know I've already said it once, but I'm gonna say it again for the people in the back.
Will Grayson III, the. MAN. YOU. ARE
""Come here." he said again. I absently shook my head. "Why?" "Because I'm you man."" OH and we cannot forget my favorite line from him - "Sucking and tugging, kissing and biting. I hate the bitch with no hesitation and no mercy." Like god LORD, I am clutching my pearls and kicking my legs.
And of course, there's no Will without Emory. My girl is a BAMF. She PMO a bit, not gonna lie, but I can't blame her for her mindset in the book.

Thank you TikTok for convincing me to pick up this series again. I ate up the last three books in less than a week because of you (during finals week, mind you). If I hadn't run over the video I did (WHICH WAS ABOUT WILL YOOOOO) I would not have made it this far. After reading about Micheal and Erika's relationship, I ended up wanting to peel my eyes out of the socket and clear my brain out with bleach <3. And then, I picked up Kai and Bank's book a couple years later and was like 'oh okayy. Kinda boring but I'm strapped in now.' And then I got to kill switch and was like GOSDJFJLSJLKFSJLKDS. And then, alas, this one. I fear now, I will never shut up about this book???

Also, I've gotta give some special recognization to the epilogue. Will as a REAL DADDY? I could barely handle it before, so that was the nail in the coffin. It made saying goodbye to these characters even harder. Also, this book got my toes curling a little harder for Damon to OOPS.

My final ranking of the Horseman and their women
1. Will Grayson III (hubby pookie shmukins pie)
2. Damon (daddy) Torance
3. Kai Mori (loved you when I read you but NOT a competition for the top two)
4. Michael Crist (I'm gonna shut my mouth on this one).

1. Emory Scott
2. Winter Ashby
3. Nikova Banks
4. Erika Fane

Goodbye for now then. Will be thinking and dreaming about this book for next year.

This book is set up in a way that makes me thing that there’s a CHANCE for a spinoff series (please lord). I did not expect this to be so action packed WOW! Short fun read. Now time to reread nightfall again sorry not sorry.

Coming as no shock to anyone, this was my favourite in the series.

Emory Scott and Will Grayson III were just made to be together - they are the perfect example of a slow burn, second chance romance that truly just shows their individual personalities and building each of their characters beyond what we have seen of them in the past books.

There were some minor things I wish were built on more. I would have liked to see more of Will’s addiction struggles, and hear more from Emmy after she left Thunder Bay, etc. But they are such small pieces of information that truly are not important for the greater story but something I just wish I got to see.

Will was such a fun character. I liked his lightness and humour, especially after a dark book like Damon’s. It just brought back the spirit and joy of the story, and he fit so well with Emmy through their journey and incidents.

I loved the setting in Blackchurch and that unfolding. Once they returned to Thunder Bay, I will say that the storyline began to lose me. I do understand that there was a long running story to wrap up and lots of lose ends to tie, but it just went on for a really long time and started to lose its impact after a while.

After finishing the series, I don’t feel like Alex’s character was done justice and the introduction of Aydin in this book just felt like a way of shutting people up about Alex getting a happy ending. It didn’t feel right for the story.

I did love this though. I loved the suspense, I loved the “trapped” sort of vibe in the house, the flashbacks, the dancing scene (IYKYK - the whole reason I picked up this series). It was a really nice way to finish it all up and it was nice to finally follow a couple where the guy just truly loved and adored his girl. He had no shame in how much love he has for Emmy and it just warmed my heart. Everyone needs a Will Grayson.

i would have loved this more if it weren't for that one chapter. if you know, you know.
