Great book again, loved reading it, and whatever I didn't make sense of, well, I guess I got it this time. Though I did notice, that Kody was once called Cody.

*First Review October 9th 2011*
Wow oh, wow, loved this book, a confused by one part, but I probably read over it too fast, and such, that I know the event was repeated, but maybe wiped form his mind or something? yep, loved it!

Why can't I get these books out of my head?! It's not that the plot is amazing or anything or that I'm running around telling people to read it. Most of my friends sort of give me a funny book when I try explaining that I was thinking about a demon-zombie-shadow hunter sort of story. Like,
Whoah, it's finally done her in.
I hesitate to even be like "but it's good!" cause I'm not even sure it IS good.
And yet....it is.
The plot is intriguing. And I find that the more it goes on, the more I desperately-want-to-know-what-will-happen. Will Nick be able to circumvent his destiny?
Weird right?
But I'm hooked.
And it's good. I like Nick. I really do. And I like his Mom and the people around him. It's good characterization. Lots of hints but who really knows which side each person is on?
Utterly fascinating.
So here I go, recklessly plunging into another adventure and letting myself get totally wrapped up in one really dumb and hormonal 14-year-olds life.
Because I like him and want him to succeed.
Seriously, Sherrilyn Kenyon. How do you do that?!

When I picked up this book again, I couldn't remember why I'd given it only three stars when I first read it. The story, like all the Dark Hunter series, is as awesome and intriguing as ever. The problem with this particular one was that it just felt too much like it was thrown out there for the heck of it.
SpoilerI think the thing that really bugged me was the revealing of Kody... I don't see how Caleb forced her hand when she didn't have to reveal herself right then. It really bugs me when things don't add up, and if I recall correctly, the question of why Caleb's freezing people made it so she had to reveal herself never gets answered, unless it was for some reason mentioned in the last couple of books that I haven't gotten to yet. Somehow I think it didn't ever get mentioned again, because in the overall scheme of things it really isn't important to the story. It just irrationally bugs me.
Anyways, now that I've ranted a bit in a spoiler tag, I will say that I always find Nick to be one of my favorite characters, even when he annoys me. Guess it's just part of his charm!

I enjoyed this more then the first book in the series. It developed Nick a lot more and was faster paced from the start. A nice YA series that has a male protagonist.

It's been a long time since I've read any of Kenyon's work and I have to say I've missed it. This series is related to her DH world and shows the early life of one of the secondary characters who is very dear to me. This was a lot of fun and as usual the writing was easy to get into. There's a lot of the characters I know and love from the DH universe mentioned in this series and I love that they get called to.

Cute little book, and I'm glad I'm finished. It has interesting suspense, but I'm not sure if I will continue....

**Short "end of month" Review**

Well that was uneventful. Book 1 was full of zombie action, and this book had nothing...

I highly doubt this couch would be able to kill bus loads of kids repeatably without anyone noticing.

His mom getting a new job and the apartment was well deserved.

Nick fangirling over the cars made my day!

HOLY FRIGGIN' CRAP! - This book was mindbogglingly amazing! The second installment to the Dark-Hunter spin off young ydult series, Chronicles of Nick, the plot of Invincible was just as amazing as Infinity's.

I couldn't help but fall in love all the more with this amazing character, Nick Gautier. He had captured my adoration and love all the way back to the first novel of the Dark-Hunter series, Night Pleasures, and he continued to do so off-and-on throughout the twenty three books of the series, thus far.

The witty writing, still amazing. The cohesive, understandable, and entertaining plot, still amazing. The character development, still amazing. The expansion of the characters, still amazing. The dialogue, setting, and description, all still amazing. Sherrilyn Kenyon is continuing to prove, as she always does, that she is a phenomenal author and creative genius.

Invincible absolutely blew me away with taking yet another fascinating angle, necromancy, and maintaining a unique storyline throughout. I'm so excited about this series, and can't wait 'til next years installment!

Could not locate book 1, Infinity.

Really. It's not fair to end a book like that. Now how am I supposed to wait until Infamous?

Loved it, though!
