Mostly enjoyable listen as always but you can definitely tell this is one of Freida’s earlier novels with the focus much heavier on the medical aspects with whispers of romance and the mystery a side plot. There wasn’t much of a whodunnit to this - questions are answered quickly - but the “why” is a little more interesting. Overall ok.

This was a good book, and I would recommend it, but it wasn't as exciting as most of her books are. The plot was still interesting, and it had a good twist, but it wasn't as shocking. There are 2 polar opposite male characters in the book- one you're rooting for one, and the other makes you want to scream. I really did enjoy this book, but I'm being much more stingy with ranking this year, which is why I only gave it a 3.5⭐️.

This is her best book by far. It’s such an interesting and sad story and I couldn’t stop reading it or putting it down. It’s definitely underrated!!!!!
