Giving this 3 stars because I think the middle of the book is a bit of a chore, but the climax and denouement were well done. This book draws you into its protagonist right away. I like how the author treats a character who could easily feel like a shallow stereotype with care and respect. I’m left wanting more and looking forward to reading the next book.

I read this book years ago. I loved it the first time around, gave it 5 stars. Now that I’m older, I don’t love it as much. Rebecca is immature and literally is the true definition of shopaholic. She doesn’t learn her lesson now matter what. This was hard to get through.

3.5/5 stars. I assumed this would be even more of a breeze to read because I already watched the movie but the book is actually very different from the movie. In the movie they took characteristics and scenes of a few different characters and gave it to the main character's love interest. In the book though he doesn't feature a lot. This book is more of a comedy than a rom-com that the movie was. MC isn't very likable due to her spending habits and the lies she says but it's no issue to me having watched the movie but it still can get annoying at times. I wouldn't be able to say whether the movie or book was better because for me they are both not really that memorable though fun enough.

Breezed through it! A great read for escaping. I forget there is more out there than Young Adult literature!

i know this is a chick book. but i like the movie so i was like okay i'll read the book. so i did. and it was ohkay. i guess but the movie is better i reckon. cause the Rebecca Bloomwood in the movie is much better than one in the book because the one in the book isn't as funny. so that pissed me off. but however alot of stuff was left out of the book (like it always does) but at least it had the main ideas in the movie. i give it one thumb up and that's it. sorry(:

It took me a long time to give this book a try. I saw the movie in theatres, but for some reason never thought to pick up the book. However, I am so glad I did. This was a quick read, but absolutely adorable, perfect for a beach read. Becky, while not being the most sensible character, is nevertheless easy to relate to, and I actually greatly admired her lying abilities! 4/5 stars, just because it seemed that the plot was resolved rather quickly and miraculously. Still an enjoyable read.
