These are the kinds of mysteries I like, there were layers but you were still able to figure it out. I figured out the pearls and the murders, but didn’t see the broader picture Pirot had been painting. 

However, I will say there was a LOT of exposition in this one. Like we didn’t even get to the murder until 45-50% through the book. I think had I been reading it as opposed to listening to it I think I would’ve made it through the story at a lot slower pace.

I definitely think I will enjoy the movie, but I’m pretty sure I’m too dumb for these books… loved the ending, but up until about the 75% mark I just wasn’t interested in the story and the cast of characters still confuse me.
