Just finished this. I really was intrigued between Tom and Isabel's perspectives and thought it was so easy to see where each was coming from. I don't know what i would have done in their shoes. I thought the ending was touching.

I was dubious about this book for quite a while on account of the dodgy similes, awkward changes of tense and soppy scenes. Having finished it I think it explored some interesting moral questions even if it wasn't always believable. The final third I felt was better as it was more about the action rather than fluffy scenes that just seemed to take up space without adding to the plot -- I definitely agree with others who have said it could have been much shorter. I didn't like the writing style at all but couldn't help but want to keep reading it to find out how the situation was going to be resolved.

I hated Isabelle in this book and loved Tom. I sobbed at the end completely unexpectedly. Poor little Lucy.

It was well written, but seemed a little bit hard to follow the back and forth storyline, and the rather rushed wrap up.

Particularly enjoyed the Australian accents for the audiobook! Story and characters really drew me in.
