This is the second series that I've read by Jennifer L. Armentrout (the first being From Blood and Ash) and wow, this was a good pick. The first book was so thrilling to read that I almost couldn't put it down. Although this is more of a fantasy book than a romance novel, there's enough back-and-forth between the main characters (Katy and Daemon) to keep you turning the page. The way she writes the characters reminds me of Poppy and Hawke in From Blood and Ash. If you liked their relationship, I would guess that you'd like Katy and Daemons too. They are similar in my opinion (minus the spice).

The second book was a little less thrilling for me. I think the first book was better than the second, but overall I really did like them both. I think I was hoping for Daemon and Katy's relationship to build more than it did. I feel like I was waiting the entire time for them to finally get together. It's also frustrating for me sometimes reading books where the main character is in complete denial of the love situation going on; and this is what happens throughout the entire second book. I know this is mainly fantasy and not romance, but I'm a sucker for a good love story. Now onto book 3!

If you love some romance/drama it would probably be more your thing than mine. Loved the plot, hated te constant drama

So, I've already read all of the Lux books and am just waiting on the last one. However, I bought this book because of the extras. And let me tell you, I loved them! You can never have too much of Daemon Black! This also gave me a good reason to reread the series before Opposition comes out in August. To anyone who hasn't read this series, it's a must. Armentrout's writing is amazing. And you will definitely fall head over heels with Daemon. That is all.

UPDATE: 3/24/14
That. Cover.

I love it! Even though I've read this whole series (just waiting on Opposition) I'm going to buy this. The main reason why is because we're getting TWO never before seen Daemon POVs!

Yup, it's official. I need this book.

I think the only few words I have to describe the two fabulous books was, absolute perfection, every second of it was absolute perfect. The characters were great, everything about the books were great. I loved these books so much and I need to find out what happens next in the series!

These books were amazing. I wasn't expecting to love these books as much as I did. I was completely consumed by this world and this emotion they made me feel was so strong and raw. I loved daemon and kats fights. They were amazing and I was rooting for them from the very beginning. I loved it so much.
