E a Mariana Zapata ataca novamente, minha gente!

Really sweet, had me tearing up a few times. Sometimes a bit questionable.

I told myself I was taking a break from contemporary romances this week, yet here I am finishing my third one. I can’t stay away it seems.
I couldn’t wait for this book to be over. I love a good slow burn but that doesn’t mean I enjoy reading a detailed account of everything that happens in someone’s life, unless I really like the characters, which was not the case here.
I don’t think any couple will ever live up to Aiden and Vanessa but I went into this book expecting Diana and her bae to come close and that did not happen :( They didn’t have much chemistry unfortunately.
Diana gave teenager vibes even though she’s 29 and Dallas had his moments but was still meh at the beginning.
The last 100 pages or so were better but I can’t ignore the fact that the first two thirds were not.

4 1/2 stars, I loved it, just like pretty much everything Mariana Zapata writes. It wasn't quite as grabby as Wall of Winnipeg and Me, but we did get to see Van and Adrian again, so that was a bonus, as well as Sal and Rey from Kulti. Worlds colliding.
As a former single mom, I love reading love stories with single moms. And the neighbor with issues, gotta love that. Very much a Jerry McGuire vibe here.
I wish Diana would have been able to resolve things with her mother, but alas, such things are not always resolved, just like Dallas and his brother Jackson.
The audiobook was superb, as usual.
