This is my first book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. I was bit hesitant to begin but I really like her writing! It’s casual but descriptive — we learn everything we’re supposed to know without information overload.
Diana is real af. I love her and everything she does. She’s so smart and real and can admit (especially to Josh and Lou) when she makes mistakes. She’s doesn’t take anyone’s shit and is ready to speak up for herself and her family.
I really enjoyed this and I look forward to reading the other books in the Wait For It universe. Very well done!
3 Going to Baseball Practice Stars
The first half of this book was so boring and long. Who knew you could put so much little league drama into a book. The less time with baseball and Diana's inner monologue the better if you ask me. I don't know what it is about MZ FMC, but they give off helpless, but continually say to themself that they don't need any support.
Dallas and Diana were cute once he got the divorce. I know it's a romance, but in the previous MZ slow-burns, I felt the MMC's feeling were less obvious. The little practice notes in Dallas' pocket were so cute.
I really enjoyed the cameos of Kulti's characters and the Wall of Winnipeg and Me characters. They were done in a way that if you hadn't read those books, you wouldn't think anything of it, which was like iykyk.

i literally loved diana to death, i don’t think i disliked a single thing she did in this book. she’s just so incredibly real. and she’s also hilarious.
dallas is alright ig, only started liking him around the last quarter of the book or so. when he got good though?? trust me it was good.
louie was so adorable, and josh was honestly so real.
the couple actually had chemistry even if they hardly glanced at each other until a quarter into the book. i’m not usually one for snow burn but omg this was worth it.
anyways now that all that is out of the way, we can talk about the best part of the book.

does he have his own book? i literally found myself hoping he would end up with diana just so i could have a scrap of what he’d be like. he needs his own book asap. i usually don’t like the aloof grumpy type of guys, and trip and his energy was everything i could ever want in a love interest.
