This book idea was amazing, and just loved how the choice was yours. I had this brief moment halfway through where I was like, wow, this book was really good, but is it going to go anywhere.... then BAM!! OMFG! That was a sensational ending and I am shocked and filled with so much emotion.

Was intrigued enough by the storylines and the way the book is formatted to push through the parts I found hard to read but that epilogue honestly ruined the entire book for me.
If I’d ended it on those first few pages of the epilogue I probably would have rated the book much higher but the “twist” ending felt ridiculous. I get what the author was trying to do but given the character growth I kind of felt robbed. Too bad, I’ll most likely avoid reading anything else from the author. Not worth it.

This book has an intriguing concept, but the writing, character development, and numerous errors detract from its potential. Also, a brainwashed kidnapper is still a kidnapper, which made parts of the plot difficult to connect with. Unfortunately, this didn’t quite work for me.
