When i bought this book I was never expecting it to be something more than a story where the girl eventually falls for the prince· but I was pleasantly surprised with how much more it was. It was funny and really easy to read and it has so many things to give. I love the honest relationship- friendship between maxon and America and I will be definitely reading the rest of them. The only reason I give it four stars is because although it's a great book it's not the best and it didn't actually get me by surprise throughout the book.
In conclusion If you're looking for a book to read when you're not in your best mood or a book that doesn't need that much effort to finish then I highly recommend it.

When The Bachelor meets the Royals you’ve got yourself The Selection. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I expected (although the audiobook narrator was not great imo). I love the “alternate universe” part of the book, briefly explained around halfway into the story and would love to know more. America is a strong FMC without being aggressive, I really like Maxon’s character development so far and Aspen can go back to where he came from.
Not filled with tension or intense romance, but quite entertaining nonetheless.

Prendeu-me do inicio ao fim do livro. Cada vez que pegava nele custava-me muito ter que ir dormir. Srm dúvida uma série para continuar.

Let me start this off by saying that I went into this book thinking it would be dumb and trashy. Now let me just say that I walked out of this book wanting America to be with Maxon & wanting to read the next one. There was something about this book that made me like it a lot, but I’m not quite sure what it was. But this book was perfect and I can’t wait to read the next one!!

Storyline: So good!! I loved the whole bachelor setting in a dystopian universe

Characters: I loved some of them, like America & Maxon. But most of the girls were annoying, and don’t even get me started on Aspen. When he first showed up in the beginning, I loved him. Then he broke her heart, and I dropped him like a fly. Maxon came into the picture, and I quickly forgot about Aspen. Well then Aspen came back and all I wanted was for him to leave. But most of the other characters were good.

Writing: It’s not strong, but it’s not weak. The writing was perfect for this kind of book.

Length: It was fine.

Final thoughts: I literally can’t wait to read the next one. If she doesn’t end up with Maxon, then I would’ve wasted my time. #teammaxon

I have read and reread this book three times. I still love it, but Aspen is an asshole and this is the hill I am willing to die on. Maxon can be kinda thick too.

It was super predictable so that didn’t help the rating of this book but I enjoyed the process of reading it nonetheless. I am excited to see where it goes but I can wait and see if there’s another better book that catches my interest first.

this was fun but veryyyyy predictable, and also ended without any type of resolution??? it just ended???? interesting concept but not interesting enough for me to continue. I may be being generous with 3 stars
