I gave this three stars because I really liked the concept of this book. I just couldn't get into it. I've decided not to read books that I don't really like, so after realizing I was dreading going back to it, I gave up. I think I would really like to see this in movie format though.

If you are into classic literature and you can keep up with Jasper Fforde's original way of writing - this is a series for you. The first book is a little hard to get through - but it is so worth getting to the rest of the series. A must read - he is my favorite author, the puns and alternative means in his books are never ending. This is a book you'll have to read numerous times to get all his hidden jokes. you'll laugh out loud with every read.
