This book was a thrill ride, with SO many twists and turns!I couldn't put it down!I truly enjoyed this book, haven't read a book this good in a while!I think everyone will enjoy this!
First and foremost, I would like to say that I have found my soul mate nestled in these pages.

I usually hate characters like Wolf (the silent and semi-broody type) but Wolf is so well developed as a character and amazing, PERIOD. I added another star just because of him, he caught my attention and kept it.
Unfortunately though, I was not so enthusiastic about the rest of the book. I loved the writing style, as I always do with Marissa Meyer's books but I felt the plot dragged on. I was very bored and not much happened. I also did not like how the chapters alternated through Cinder's perspective of her predicament and Scarlet's perspective. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Cinder, but alternating perspectives/stories is not my cup of tea, so I guess my dislike for this aspect is more about personal preference.
Even though this wasn't my favourite, I still look forward to reading the next books!
#1 [ Cinder ] ★★★★☆
#2 [ Scarlet ] ★★★☆☆

★x4 | (A-) 93% | AGES 14+ | Y’all, this was just as good as the first.
I know this is a tad bit late. Like years late. But. It’s better than never. First impressions, this is a beautiful cover.
| Characters - ★x4 | In this book we are introduced to two new main characters called Wolf and Scarlet, and my God they are cute. Wolf is an adorably awkward but savage character and Scarlet is a confident and frenzy character. Together, they compliment each other really well.
| Storyline - ★x4 | Short and sweet. It had to follow almost about three different storylines and it kept up really well. I never got confused. *thumbs up*
I was wondering if this would have sequelitis, and I can’t remember when it was the last time i read a good sequel so this was pretty refreshing.
| Writing - ★x4 | The writing really flows well. Everything was easy to understand, the world-building is amazing.
Should you read this? Listen, this was a long time ago, so give it a break when you read about a fiery red head female protagonist. I know it’s a bit stereotyped for redheads, but she’s a freaking amazing character! So yes. You should read this.

Loved this one! I really enjoyed the romance and plot. It wasn't as predictable as Cinder so I had more fun with it.

This book was a super fun and entertaining read. I think I liked it slightly better than Cinder, mostly due to the relationship between Scarlet and Wolf. The author had some clever ways of weaving in elements of the red riding hood story while still fleshing out the world that had been created in the first book. I listened to this audio book and it made the commute much more enjoyable. I wasn’t sure before if I’d be finishing out the series but now I would say I probably will.
