This series is just a feel-good, light hearted breath of fresh air!
This is the 4th installment in the Carolina Comets universe and I fly through them so quickly! This story follows Owen Smith, the oldest player on the team, and Emilia, the social media manager who wants to be the director of the social media for the team. The two of them have a steamy night before they realize who the other is and then have to pretend it never happened. Two years go by and they are able to basically avoid each other until she is assigned a task that directly correlates with him. Soon, their chemistry may be too much to fight.
I liked how this book happened at a comparable time with the novel One Timer. You got to fall in love Lowell and Hollis again as well. I also loved getting to know Miller a bit and seeing what his novel may entail. Overall these books are easy to fly through but still swoon worthy! Always a fun read with Carolina Comets.

I lovvvvvved Smith. I was so excited for Smith because he was just always so good for the guys but it was clear he never let himself have what they did.
Not until Emilia.
Smith's lack of anything outside of hockey was a sucker punch because he was clearly a sweet guy just never let anything else get close to him. He's definitely older and his career is on borrowed time so he's obviously confused when suddenly he has to do this profile for the team. why bother this is clearly his last season, right?
Well, if he was gonna do it, Emilia was gonna be the one he worked with. Dangerous and of course leads to the good parts.
I think this was one of my favorites of the series and it's because of the couple. I love both of them so much on a solo basis but together they are fantastic.

Ughh! I’m absolutely obsessed with the Carolina Comet Men, and Smith DID NOT disappoint!!
This man is dominate and possessive, and whole heartedly obsessed with Emilia and it is everything!
Being that they both work for the Comets, and there is a new rule in place about being with or sleeping with the players and she is the coaches niece, Emilia and Owen do everything in their power to stay away from each other even though they had the most amazing one weekend stand.
Both are kind of loners in life, who are mainly focused on their careers and their success! When a project puts them working together sparks fly again, and they reconnect in all the right ways even though they shouldn’t. In the end a choice has to be made, and they have to decide between each other and their careers..
Teagan killed the spice in this book, and the praise was on point! Smith’s got himself a dirty mouth! And Emilia is sassy and funny! You could just feel the chemistry from them, and I loved it!!
