Owen Smith may be the old man of the team, but this old man is bringing the heat from the very start!

Emilia is newly single, in a new town, and about to start a new job when she meets Smith and has an epic weekend. Smith is drowning his sorrows after a loss when he meets Emilia. However, they quickly find out a relationship is 100% forbidden between the two of them.

The chemistry between these two is OFF THE CHARTS! Even when they are avoiding each other you can feel the tension. I loved the banter back and forth between them, especially via text. Smith is a dirty talking man and I absolutely LOVE it. Emilia comes across as innocent, but she definitely is far from it. These two are absolutely perfect for each other.

This is easily my favorite of the series, sorry Rhodes!! I loved Smith and Emilia, I loved getting more of the previous couples, and MILLER! I seriously love Miller and CANNOT wait for more of that man.

If you’re looking for an age gap, forbidden, workplace, sports romance this is one to check out.

ARC!

Can I please reread this as the first time?
This book was honestly so good!!! Like this series is honestly top tier, but give me an selfless older dude, and I'm a goner!!
Honestly, this couple is really cute and wholesome, may I say even more than Rhodes and Ryan but not taking Harper and Collin's spot. Sorry, they are still my first loves!!
Emilia is so hard working, she gives her all and related so much to her. Smith is just like her, he only knows hockey so of course he is on the fence of loosing everything he has known.
They both fight hard their attraction in order to protect the other, and that to me made me want to root for them harder!
Now, I cried, maybe I was emotional but I still cried, when he made a decision that impacted them both in the most perfect way made my heart swoon and almost fall of my chest!!

WHERE'S MY SMITH!!! Now, I'm realllyyyy excited about Miller's story, I just know he has the biggest heart of the bunch, and because of that I'm also scared!!

Tropes: Age gap **wants**, sports romance, forced proximity, forbidden romance. Second chance?? kinda.

Emilia and Owen (Smith as he’s known professionally) had a one night stand that felt like so much more. It was cut short when the figured out Emilia’s new job that brought her to Smith’s town was to work for his hockey team. Did I mention she’s also the niece of the assistant coach?

What happens when you ignore your feelings for two years only to hit a point where you can’t, or don’t want to, hide anymore. I love watching them come back together. The side characters continue to be a highlight in this series.

This was also one of the more extreme sports age gap romances and it was handled so well. These two fell in love despite the age, it was mentioned a few times but isn’t the basis of their sorry. Which I loved because age gaps can be hit or miss if the only point of drama is the age. That’s not the case here.

Also, the end was swoon worthy. I feel like we never see an ending like that— I loved it. I can’t wait for Miller’s book this fall!

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the crap out of this book. The pining and the tension were top tier. Smith and Emilia are perfect for each other and I’m so glad that Tegan wrote us their HEA. I will obviously continue to read anything she writes!!
