This was a good story and the writing is very good for the genre but the mentions of sexual assault/violence in a romance book just don't do it for me. I can't feel the sexy vibes after just reading about moderately graphic sexual violence lol. But the characters are well developed and it was a fun read overall

There is nothing I can say about this book that hasn't already been said. I loved it! It was far better than I expected, and I love the way such a difficult story was told. I hate that it ended - I want more of this couple and this world!

I realized when I started reading this that I was going based off of the cover because I had no idea what it was about. I loved the revenge plot and the romance between Joy and Malachi. Make sure to check out the detailed trigger warnings at the beginning of the book
