I give it 3.5 stars.
When I finished the book I was pleasantly surprised! I thought it would be a slow stack of cliches with a unoriginal storyline but turns out I actually kind of enjoyed it. However, it still did have very predictable plot devises and twists but nowadays you can't be too picky with all the different kinds of book that are out.
In the beginning all I could feel for Cameron was annoyance because of the way she formed her thoughts. I feel like the author sometimes wanted to make her youthful or relatable by throwing in phrases like "it was totally romantic" and "I was the perfect B.F" which ended up being really irritating. I also did not like the obvious character choices like Emily, rich bitch with a desire to feel loved, and Lewis, sexy and tall with a icy blue stare that still warmed your heart. It got a little old after a while.
All in all it was a good book and I do think I will read the other ones.

I thought that this book was OK. I mean, Cameron is just so stupid! She thinks that her and Lewis have insta-connection. Um, yeah right! I hate in the books when the author makes the girl so stupid to think that right when they meet a guy they have the "see each other's soul" thing.
In my opinion, I didn't really like Cameron. At first she was whining because of her grandmother. How she tried to control her and how she would never tell her anything. So when she finally leaves her grandmother and goes away with Lewis, she starts to miss her! Then she's not sure if she can trust Aaron and Lewis. The people that she just meet and ran off with from the only family she's ever known. Gosh, just make up your mind! But other than that Cameron was OK. I liked how she tried to save Caroline. I think that she is a good person but is blinded by her own problems.
Ugh, Lewis. I really hate Lewis. How could he do what he did to Cameron? He manipulated her emotions into thinking that she was in love with him all so Aaron could use her strong abilities to kill all of the S.P.I. He says that he is in love with her and that he stopped playing with her emotions when she found out what he did, but I doubt it. Then just like that, he turned on her just because he was trying to leave a place where they kill and kidnap children! He helped Aaron capture her and erase her memories. It's like he wiped put all of the feelings he had for her, except hatred.
I am wondering who the S.P.I really is. Are they good or bad? What do they want? Aaron said that they were bad but then Aaron turned out to be bad. So who are they, good or bad?
Her dad is alive! Well that's at least what Maddox said. Maddox who is with the S.P.I with unknown motives. I do t know if I like that her dad is alive or not. Maybe he could be evil, like Aaron who was his best friend. And does her father want the get to know Cameron? And what's with the dream Cameron had about her mother? Is her mother alive too or was it just a dream?
So many questions to be answered. Hope to find out in the second book (if I read it) :)

I would have given it a 4 but it felt too rushed in the end. I understand this is a series but I didn't care for how it ended.
I really enjoyed this YA read. It sucked me in from the beginning then kept me up late to finish.... This was a kindle freebie but I loved it enough to buy the next book in the series!!
Okay so this was a 3.5, but i rounded up because i was never bored--even if i was very frustrated at points. This is a paranomal mystery novel. The beginning flew by really quickly. i thought that about 2/3rds in there was some repetetive scenes where i was really anxious to find out what was going to happen already, but like i said, it was still never boring.
the character i really cared about was Maddox, who we dont know a lot about. i'm debating reading the next book because what i really want is answers about Maddox, and i dont know if ill be getting them.

Errr..

I dunno what to think of this. I've rated it a 3 because it wasn't bad, but then it wasn't good either. It's somewhere in the middle for me. It started very strong for me, but I started to lose interest when the story became a bit dragging.

I bought this book on my kindle when it was on sale and looked somewhat interesting. When I finally read it on a car trip, I was captivated. Cameron definitely irritated me at some points, but I also understood where she was coming from. She had been lied to her entire life and felt as though she couldn’t trust anyone, causing her to question everything. Her grandmother was really irritating to me as well, she had good intentions I guess and wanted to keep Cameron safe, but by only telling her lies about her past and her abilities, she put Cameron in more danger when the time came and groups started searching for her. I LOVE Lewis, although I couldn’t really tell if he was on the good side or the bad side, he was so sweet and caring, he had Cameron’s best interest at heart and would do anything for her. By the end of the first book, I was still confused if Aaron was the good guy, or if S.P.I were the good guys, forcing me to download the next book immediately.
