Just the coziest of cozy fantasies. An absolute joy to read that I never wanted to put down. All the magical creatures were portrayed so wonderfully that it really felt like wandering around a zoo full of dragons and phoenixes.

I liked The Phoenix Keeper, but not as much as I thought I would - it was a cute but forgettable book in my opinion.

I wish there was more development between Aila and Luciana. Their relationship felt a bit rushed and surface-level to me.
I also figured out who the culprit is pretty early in the book, it was kind of obvious 😅🙌🏻

It's still a very cute summer read though!

An incredibly slow start, 100 pages of making sure we all predicted the ‘twist’ and the tools of escape in the battle at the end.
I complained constantly for 70% of the book that the characters weren’t realistic and the important things to remember were being shoved down my throat. But, did I still get wrapped up in the tension at the end and well up over the strength of a friendship and silently cheer at the wins? Yes. Yes I did.
