The Emerald Mile is a fascinating blend of adventure and history. I especially enjoyed the detailed back story of how the Glen Canyon Dam was built, it added real depth to the narrative. The endurance and determination of the rafters were truly inspiring, and the vivid descriptions made it easy to imagine the intensity of their journey. A great read for anyone who loves nature, engineering, and tales of human perseverance. Just shy of perfect, but still an unforgettable ride.  

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed that it was read by the author.
