This one was a quick one to get through because I couldn’t stop listening. I love any book told by different perspectives, but especially a thriller. Some things were predictable but so many others were surprising. Right up to the very end! Overall, I really liked this one! Highly recommend.

It's full of drama and twists. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, it throws something new at you. It’s not your usual marriage story—it dives deep into secrets and lies.

The characters are so layered. You don’t know who to trust, and that keeps the suspense alive. The writing is sharp and easy to follow, and the pace is just right. A great psychological thriller.

Oooh, the plot really had me all in! The Golden Couple feels like a whodunit mystery (without a crime scene or a dead body) through the eyes of a female therapist (Avery Chambers - I felt like I was rooting for her the entire time to be honest), instead of that typical detective pov, and I was really enthralled. I wouldn’t consider the story to be suspenseful per se, but there are multiple elements keeping the story moving that leaves you motivated to figure out where it’s headed. I definitely vibed with the writing style, it was descriptive but to the point, and I found the characters to be well balanced. Sadly, I didn’t find the ending to be jaw dropping, which was a disappointment in comparison to how I felt about the rest of the book.

Another great read from Hendricks and Pekkanen.
Avery Chambers- professional therapist turned renegade counselor has been hired by the Bishops to save their marriage following a night of infidelity.
But things are not ways as they seem, and neither are people.

I love this writing duo. Everything comes full circle. Everything is tied up nicely with a bow. Everything makes sense.

A book by these two will always be a must read for me
